Bitcoin (BTC) Sees New ATH, Chainlink (LINK) Explodes 15% Daily (Market Watch)

It has been nothing short of a spectacular start to the new trading week as bitcoin’s price dumped below $100,000 only to skyrocket from there to a new all-time high above $109,000.

The altcoins are also in the green now on a daily scale, even though they plunged during the Monday morning Asian trading session.

BTC’s New Peak

The past seven days showcased what bitcoin and the crypto markets are capable of. Recall that the largest digital asset plunged beneath $90,000 for the first time since November last Monday after a massive daily drop of more than seven grand.

However, it reacted well to this crash and started to recover some value almost immediately. It kept climbing by the end of the trading week and saw its price cruise above $100,000 after the more favorable CPI data that came out on Wednesday.

Although all eyes were on Trump’s meme coin during the weekend, BTC maintained its position and even spiked to $106,000 on Sunday. That’s when real volatility transpired, as the cryptocurrency plummeted once again by several grand amounts to under $100,000.

As the market was preparing for another price slip ahead of Trump’s inauguration today, bitcoin reversed its trajectory and skyrocketed to over $109,000 to mark a new all-time high.

As of now, it stands at just over $108,000. Its market cap has soared to $2.140 trillion, while its dominance over the alts is at 55.4%.

LINK on the Move

Most altcoins went through similar volatility on Monday morning but have turned green on a daily scale. Ethereum has tapped $3,400 after a 5.5% surge since yesterday. ADA has jumped to $1.1 after a similar increase. XRP, BNB, DOGE, XLM, TRX, and AVAX are also in the green.

LINK has stolen the show today with a massive 15% surge. As a result, Chainlink’s token now sits above $26.

The two newest and most controversial meme coins – TRUMP and MELANIA – faced massive price volatility and is expected to continue as the day progresses.

The total crypto market cap has added over $100 billion since yesterday and is above $3.86 trillion on CG.

TRUMP Overtakes SHIB in Meme Coin Battle, BTC Nears $105K (Weekend Watch)

Bitcoin’s price actions during the weekend have been quite positive, given the overall market condition, and the asset remains close to $105,000.

The altcoins have been hit hard, especially the meme coins, since the emergence of TRUMP, which is now the second-biggest in its field after surpassing PEPE and SHIB today.

TRUMP Above SHIB

It’s safe to say that the past 36 hours or so belong to Donald Trump’s official meme coin, which saw the light of day on Friday evening. The token took the crypto world and turned it upside down. Within less than a weekend, it has garnered the attention of the entire community. Its price has shot up to over $60 now, and its market cap is at roughly $13 billion on CMC and CG.

Moreover, TRUMP has now become the second-largest meme coin by that metric after surpassing PEPE in the morning and SHIB minutes ago.

The other notable gainer from TRUMP’s success is SOL since the meme coin was launched on the latter’s blockchain. SOL jumped to a fresh all-time high of $270 yesterday, only to break it to almost $280 today.

In contrast, most other larger-cap alts, especially meme coins, are deep in the red. However, the total crypto market cap has maintained its level of almost $3.750 trillion on CG.

BTC Close to $105K

The primary cryptocurrency had a highly volatile trading week. It started with a massive price dump to below $90,000 for the first time since November, but the bulls didn’t allow any further declines and helped the asset recover all losses within days.

Even the CPI numbers from the US couldn’t keep BTC down, and it flew past $100,000 just a few days after that multi-month low. Moreover, it kept climbing and exceeded $105,000 on a couple of occasions since Friday to mark its highest price tag in about a month.

As of now, bitcoin trades close to $105,000, and its market cap is up to $2.075 trillion. Its dominance over the alts is also on the rise to 55.4%.

PEPE Price Jumps 6% Daily, Bitcoin Recovers to $94K After Monthly Low (Market Watch)

Bitcoin’s price troubles worsened yesterday as the asset dumped to its lowest price position in over a month of $91,300 before it recovered some ground.

Most altcoins are also quite sluggish at the end of the year, with ETH losing the $3,400 mark and LINK continuing its recent downfall.

BTC Eyes $94K

The micro-scale at the end of the year is quite painful for BTC. The cryptocurrency stood above $108,000 two weeks ago, adding $40,000 since Trump’s landslide victory in the US presidential elections. However, the Fed’s hawkish words for 2025 reversed the asset’s trajectory, and it started losing value fast.

It dumped to $92,000 that Friday and tried to recover some ground in the following week. It managed to jump toward $100,000 on a couple of occasions but was stopped at each attempt and pushed south hard.

This retracement culminated yesterday as the bears initiated a notable leg down that resulted in BTC tapping a monthly low of $91,300 (on Bitstamp). As the fears of a potential breakdown beneath $90,000 went viral, the bulls managed to intervene and pushed the asset north of nearly $94,000 as of now.

Still, its market capitalization still struggles at $1.860 trillion, while its dominance over the alts has increased to 54.3% on CG.

PEPE on Recovery Road

Most larger-cap alts are slightly in the red now as well. ETH has slipped beneath $3,300, XRP struggles below $2.1, while DOGE, ADA, TRX, AVAX, and TON have lost around 1-2% value once again. Chainlink’s native token continues to lose value after another 3% drop in the past 24 hours. Similar declines are evident from SHIB, HBAR, and DOT.

CRO, TAO, and AAVE have declined even harder, while PEPE has defied the market sentiment with a 6% surge to $0.00002.

The total crypto market cap continues to bleed and is close to breaking below $3.4 trillion.

ADA, DOGE, SOL Dump Hard Again as BTC Slides Below $97K (Market Watch)

After heading toward $100,000 yesterday, bitcoin’s price has taken another wrong turn as the asset has lost over three grand since then.

The altcoins are also deep in the red, with massive daily price declines from the likes of SOL, DOGE, ADA, AVAX, LINK, SHIB, and many others.

BTC’s Short-Term Recovery

Although the business week started quite spectacularly for BTC, whose price skyrocketed from $101,000 to a new all-time high of over $108,000 by Tuesday, it actually turned sour on Wednesday after the latest US FOMC meeting.

The primary cryptocurrency began a massive correction that culminated on Friday with a price slump to around $92,000. Thus, the asset had lost more than $16,000 in just 72 hours.

At this point, the bulls finally managed to halt the freefall and helped BTC climb to $95,000. It kept going north on Saturday morning and jumped to $99,600. As the community was preparing for a potential challenge for the six-digit mark, bitcoin’s trajectory reversed once gain.

BTC started to lose value once again and dropped to just under $96,000 hours ago. Despite being above that line now, bitcoin is still 2% down on the day.

Alts Back in Red

Yesterday’s brief relief was halted as the altcoin market is back in red again. Ethereum failed at $3,500 and has slumped to $3,350 after a 3.5% daily decline. XRP was stopped ahead of $2.4 and has slipped to $2.24 now.

Even more painful daily declines are evident from SOL, DOGE, ADA, AVAX, LINK, SHIB, XLM, DOT, HBAR, APT, ICP, AAVE, and CRO, with losses of up to 11% in the case of APT.

The total crypto market cap has shed another $100 billion in a day and is down to $3.460 trillion on CG.
